I was working with a top global team this week running our new High Performing Teams programme, and they spontaneously decided to move away from individual category targets in favour of a whole team profit target. They did this to break down 'silo' thinking and to create greater inter-dependence within the team. WOW!!
I think this was one huge and special moment and it took me back to the RSA video with Daniel Pink (from his book Drive) on 'The surprizing truth on what motivates us'. This is a stunning video which lasts for 10 minutes and it should be compulsory viewing for every manager and leader in the world!
